Welcome to Ed and Paula Hinely's Family Genealogy Pages

The Wade side of Paula's family is where the most Cherokee blood came from. Her grandmother's grandma Nannie Wiley was a full blooded Cherokee indian. Her father's name was Wiley.
They both walked on the trail of tears and their Native American papers are found in the Dawes Records. They were of the Western Band of Cherokee.

Cherokee Nation

The Eastern band of Cherokee were not who our family descended from, but I found their website very helpful. I also found them very helpful when I visited their reservation and they educated me a great deal about our ancestors. I would encourage anyone to go pay them a visit!
